I Never Get Bored with Myself
People often ask, "What do you do when you're alone?"
My answer is simple: I enjoy being with myself.
I don't need constant entertainment to fill every quiet moment. Sometimes I think. Sometimes I plan. Sometimes I dream. Sometimes I simply observe.
The world teaches us how to stay busy, but rarely teaches us how to enjoy our own company. We are surrounded by notifications, conversations, videos, and endless distractions. Yet many people feel uncomfortable when all the noise disappears.
For me, solitude is not emptiness. It is space.
It is where ideas are born, goals are shaped, lessons are reflected upon, and the future is imagined. Some of my best conversations happen not with others, but with myself.
A person who cannot enjoy their own company will constantly search for someone or something to fill the silence. But when you learn to be comfortable with yourself, being alone no longer feels lonely.
As the quote says:
"If you are lonely when you are alone, you are in bad company."
The opposite is equally true:
"If you enjoy being alone, you are in excellent company."
The person you spend the most time with in life is yourself. Learning to appreciate that relationship may be one of the most important skills you ever develop.
I never get bored with myself because there is always something new to discover, learn, improve, or imagine within.
And perhaps that is one of life's greatest freedoms—to be at peace in your own presence and to find joy in your own company.
I never get bored with myself. I am a lifelong conversation that never ends.
